We love traffic, and traffic is not just technology. At Tyréns, we work actively to ensure that our traffic systems can help to make towns and densely populated areas more attractive, and to improve traffic safety, enhance security and achieve a sustainable society. A lot of people associate traffic simply with road traffic, but as far as we are concerned traffic also includes other modes of transport such as walking, cycling and public transport. Society nowadays demands efficient transport while at the same time keeping environ-mental impact to a minimum.
Our traffic planners often cooperate with other experts on issues relating to anything from urban regeneration to new areas for development. Today’s society is making more and more stringent demands of sustainable transport systems, and so we are working preventively to create a balanced traffic system, and also on quality assurance of transportation for companies. One important element of this work involves enhancing the competitiveness of public transport by means of more efficient, more pleasant terminals, for example. Traffic is an obvious element in social construction, and we often work together with other experts such as road project planners and landscape architects.
